Odborné zaměření

Vědecko-výzkumnou činnost jsem zaměřil na fyzickou geografii, evoluční geomorfologii, geodynamické aspekty aktivní orogeneze, paleogeografii kvartéru, přírodní ohrožení a rizika  a na vybraná témata kosmologie ve vztahu k vědám o Zemi.

Pedagogická činnost

V současné době přednáším na PřF UK pro bakalářské studium předměty Geomorfologie a Matematická geografie, pro magisterské studium předměty Teorie fyzické geografie, Paleogeografie kvartéru a Příroda velehor a v rámci postgraduálního studia zejména Obecnou a regionální fyzickou geografii.
