20th International Students Conference ‘Modern Analytical Chemistry’ 2024

Dear colleagues, dear friends,

The Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University is pleased to invite cordially Ph.D. students of analytical chemistry – and, of course, those undergraduate students of analytical chemistry who are interested in – to the 20th International Students Conference ‘Modern Analytical Chemistry’. The conference will be held 19–20 September, 2024, at the Institute of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University.

The goal of this traditional annual event is to provide an opportunity for young scientists to present the results of their research in various areas of analytical chemistry, improve their presentation skills, provide a floor for discussion and exchange of experiences, and master the English language of the participants. Therefore, the whole programme is carried out in the English language. The two-day program will consist of oral communication by young scientists in different fields of analytical chemistry.

Presentations are solely oral, accompanied by a PowerPoint (or similar) presentation. The topic of the presentation should be focused on analytical chemistry, not on the simple application of analytical techniques to solve non‑analytical problems.

Similarly to previous years, the proceedings of contributions will be published. Active participants are required to provide either an abstract or a full contribution of their presentation to be published in the conference proceedings. We also hope to have the conference number of the Monatshefte für Chemie journal.

The conference participants are free of any conference fee (with the exception of transport) and, in addition to conference materials, they will be provided lunches and coffee breaks. The registration form and an abstract or full contribution manuscript should be sent to the organizers no later than June 30, 2024. If the number of registered participants exceeds 60, the organizers reserve the earlier end of the registration.

The organizers can arrange free accommodation for the conference participants from 18th to 22th September 2024 at hotel Krystal. Be aware, that accommodation in hotel ‘Krystal’ is limited to twenty participants, so once the capacity is exhausted, organizers will not be able to provide you with accommodation (the date of registration will be taken into account when booking accommodation).

We recommend registering as soon as possible (an abstract or full contribution manuscript to proceedings can be delivered later).
