Important message for users of IMG Light Microscopy and Flow Cytometry Facility, Microscopy Centre

Dear colleagues,

This message is intended for external users of Light Microscopy and Flow Cytometry Facility, Microscopy Centre at IMG.

A bunch of instruments is available at the laboratory, including high end microscopes or flow cytometers and facility is open for all users. More information can be found at http://www.img.cas.cz/core-facilities/microscopy-centre/light-microscopy-and-flow-cytometry/.

IMG is introducing new policy regarding computer network access for non IMG users. Only registered and trained users will gain access to the computers at particular instruments upon login with IMG institutional user identity. Upon login, facility users will automatically gain access to central data repositories where acquired data can be stored securely and conveniently.

What should external  users do to gain access to computers in the Light Microscopy and Flow Cytometry Facility?

Current users of the facility:

1.       Please read carefully document “Information for external users” which can be found here: http://www.img.cas.cz/files/2012/04/img-microscopy-centre-information-for-external-users.pdf (czech version - http://www.img.cas.cz/files/2011/12/img-centrum-mikroskopie-informace-pro-externi-uzivatele.pdf).

2.       I kindly ask ALL EXTERNAL USERS of Light microscopy and Flow Cytometry Facility to fill up user form which can be found athttp://www.img.cas.cz/files/2011/12/user_survey_form.pdf. Filing up the form is very easy and takes about one minute of your time. Simple instructions are inside the form. Indicate real data, please! Send filled form

3.       The procedure will be finished by obtaining the login credentials, as described in “information for external users”.

New facilty users:

1.       If you intend to use any of the instruments available in the facility, contact facility staff please. We will discuss your project, arrange the training if necessary and you will be further instructed.
