Research Interests

  • Jurassic, Cretaceous and Cenozoic cephalopods, especially coleoids from the Boreal and Tethyan Realms. Bio- and evento-stratigraphy, palaeobiogeography, palaeoecology (including stable isotope data), systematics and taxonomy, comparative morphology, evolution.
  • Integrated stratigraphy of the Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary interval in the Tethyan Realm (Spain, Slovakia, Czech Republic) and Boreal Realm (Nordvik, Laptev Sea, N Siberia).
  • Palaeoecology, biostratigraphy and eventostratigraphy of the Mid-European Cretaceous basins (Bohemian-Saxonian Cretaceous Basin)
