Mikuláš Klaudyán: The first map of Bohemia 1518
The oldest map of the Czech Kingdom was the first in Central Europe. Its author was a doctor from Mladá Boleslav Mikuláš Klaudyán (? - 1521), who based his map on a road maps by Erhard Etzlaub. Klaudyán's map represents the first best detailed map of the Czech Kingdom. However, there were not many original prints, so manuscript copies (facsimiles of which are included in the package) were made.
The package contains a total of 7 map facsimiles and 1 brochure with brief information about Klaudyán's map of Bohemia in Czech and English. You can find the following facsimile in the package:

Via E-shop of the website Přírodovědci.cz can be purchased a facsimile edition of unique maps from the Map Collection. For example, old maps of the Czech Republic from Mikuláš Klaudyán, Johan Criginger or Pavel Fabricius are available as well as detailed plans of historic Prague and many others.
