Mikuláš Klaudyán: first map of Bohemia 1518

The oldest map of the Czech Kingdom was created as the first in Central Europe. Its author was physician Mikuláš Klaudyán (? - 1521), from the Mladá Boleslav, who was based on the model of travel maps by Erhard Etzlaub. However, the Czech Kingdom was shown too schematically on the maps created so far, Klaudyan's map thus became the first best detailed map of the Czech Kingdom. However, there were not many original copies, so expensive manuscript copies were made (facsimiles of which can be found as part of the package).
