The database of digitized map collections of the Czech Republic is being established since 2017 as one of the initiatives of the open platform for cartographic documents at the UNESCO National Committee. The database was founded by the director of the Map Collection of the Faculty of Science of the Charles University PhDr. Mgr. Eva Novotná.
The database is intended primarily for collectors and administrators, as well as for researchers, scientists and the general public. Currently it contains 20 Czech and Moravian digital map collections. The visitor will find important contact information, links and web addresses, a brief description of the physical and digital collections, the specification of descriptive metadata and image files or a methodology for processing and making cartographic works available.
