Excursion of students of History of cartography
Two weeks, two excursions. Students of subject History of cartography visited the Map collection.
The Map collection presented its beauty in two sepparately guided tours.
First tour was focused on history of collection, unique content of cellection and also possibilities how to use and utilize research services and work with old maps. Students also look over exhibits of Gallery of Cartography, which presents key works from the European schools of cartography.
Main topic of the second tour were the oldest cartography documents of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. There were presented different publications of Klaudyán, Aretin, Komenský, Fabricius or Helwig.
