The lead partner of the project is the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden, the other partners of the project are Charles University, the Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz, the Technical University of Liberec and the company Jähnig GmbH Felssicherung.

The project is aimed at supporting businesses to apply science. The project will create a network of collaborating institutions to share knowledge and new insights. Workshops and colloquia will be held to transfer information. A field test site will be set up on the site of a former opencast mine near Dresden for all participating institutions to carry out practical tests or presentations of different branches of applied geology. At the same time, a web-based RENI platform will be created to initiate and support longer-term cooperation for sustainable infrastructure provision and technology transfer.
