We cordially invite all interested parties to attend the August workshop, which will be hosted by the Vineyard Microscopy Core Facility (VMCF) from August 21-25, 2023, both in person and online. The main goal of the workshop is to provide participants with suggestions for creating advanced pipelines for image analysis in microscopy and super-resolution microscopy. Introduction of methods available in our service laboratory with an emphasis on advanced proteomics methods – Protein cellular localization and thermal stability of proteins. Description of targeted proteomics and possibilities of absolute quantification. In the second part of the presentation, we will introduce the metabolomics part of our services – untargeted LC/MS metabolomics. The seminar will be held on Wednesday 31.5.2023 at 2 pm at BIOCEV (Průmyslová 595, Vestec 252 30, main lecture hall).

We cordially invite all those interested to a two-day conference on the 150th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Bohumil Němec, which will be held under the auspices of the Rector of Charles University, Prof. Milena Králíčková, on 8 and 9 June 2023 in Viničná 7. The aim of the two-day conference is to look at the personality of Prof. Němec in the context of his time, his predecessors and contemporaries, and the ideological currents of the time - i.e. as a public figure and thinker. At the same time, however, also as an initiator and driver of the scientific programme of experimental plant studies, which continues and successfully develops at our universities and institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

The SGA cordially invites all interested parties to the Diamond - and Mineral Superlatives Seminar, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 2 and 3, 2023, in Albertov. You will learn not only about the age and origin, occurrence and mining or the chemical and physical properties of these minerals. There will also be practical demonstrations of samples. The seminar will be led by Dr. Tom Stephen, Deputy Director of the German Gemological Society and Stefan Müller, M.Sc., Research Geologist at the DSEF German Gem Lab. Admission is free of charge.
