Hydrogeology
- Efficiency of capillary barriers; mathematical modelling of unsaturated zone, effect of faults in impervious sheeting and effect of retention-curve hysteresis.
- Hydromechanics of clay suspensions; determination of hydromechanic characteristics, laboratory measurements and mathematical modelling.
- Water flow and transport of radionuclides in hard-rock fractures.
- Viscosity of salt diapirs – flow with large Reynolds numbers; analytical and numerical solutions, inverse problems.
- Mean residence time, flow and chemical fluxes in saturated, unsaturated and soil zone of karst (18O, 2H, 13C, 3H, CFCs, SF6 tracers)
