The vice-dean, appointed by the dean of the faculty, is responsible for the administration of the institute’s departments by coordinating the teaching, research, economic and operational activities of the various workplaces within the institute. The term of office for the vice-dean is four years, whereas the same person is allowed to remain in office for, at most, two consecutive terms. The institute’s secretarial office supports the vice-dean. The vice-dean’s board is the executive body of institute administration; it is comprised of the vice-dean and the department heads. The institute’s scientific council is the advisory body of the vice-dean.
