In addition, we will provide food during the event and remunerate them with a bonus of €150 at the end, along with a recommendation letter. The whole conference will be in English, so we require outgoing individuals able to communicate in English, good communicators with people skills. Please find more information below and do not hesitate to contact me with questions. During the past years, our Student Assistants were excellent individuals, who had fun during the event, did a lot of work and also established contacts with their potential future empolyers. Students not based in Prague can apply on the presumption they will have accommodation in the city during the event.

WORK AND PERSON DESCRIPTION

We require proactive dynamic individuals not shy to speak to foreign business executives in both formal and informal situations. The work will include assisting the Sales & Marketing team during the organization of the event. This will include liaising with exhibitors and delegates, sales, registering attendees at the conference registration desk, handing out microphones during sessions and also some assistance with exhibition logistics. The work will be carried out from Saturday 15th October until Wednesday 19th October. We are looking for 6-10 students.

 REMUNERATION

-       Food provided each day by the organizers including some evenings.

-       Professional reference of participation and work carried out, issued at the end in the form of a special certificate.

-       Participation at an elite conference with over €1000 participation fee paid by attendees: student assistants will be allowed to attend several sessions and will receive delegate packs with all information.

-       Access to the evening social program and the final dinner. They will be encouraged to network with the delegates and so gain valuable contacts for their future professional careers.

-       Student assistants will also receive a €150 bonus on the last day.

CONFERENCE DETAILS

HYDRO 2011 will be the 18th annual Hydro Conference, and the event brings together delegations from more than 80 countries. The majority of delegates represent owners and operators; others are consulting engineers, financial institutions, contractors, researchers, equipment suppliers, and various specialists involved in the planning process. High level delegations from developing countries will report on their needs and priorities; international finance institutes and development agencies set out their policies, and all those with a role to play in furthering well planned schemes join the debate. Plenary sessions feature keynote addresses and country reports; there are then several parallel tracks of sessions. These generally cover: planning, project finance and economics; environmental and social aspects; and technology (civil engineering issues, innovations and developments in electromechanical equipment). The Exhibition provides an opportunity to review recent developments in technology and design techniques.

Please find more information about the event in the enclosed brochure.
