Exhibition on Malta
On January 29th, new exhibition called Siege maps was opened in National Museum of Fine Arts in Valleta. Map Collection of Charles University also participated on preparations.
Exhibition presents four unique maps by Giovanni Francesco Camocio. The author of these maps shows the progress of the Great Siege of Malta in the 1565. These maps are very unique. During the year 2015 , registration of maps in UNESCO - International Memory of the World Register was prepared. Registration was also in cooperation with National Museum of Fine Arts and Map Collection of Charles University.
