Current functioning of the library
Although The Geographical Library is closed, contactless lending and returning documents in restricted mode is still possible! Loans will be extended until 1.3.2021.
You can send your requests for loans (please state the name of the author, the title of the book, or its signature) to the library email (knihgeog@natur.cuni.cz), we will prepare the books for you and arrange for the handover of the books at the faculty - either in the entrance hall in front of the library (door no. 213 or no. 214) or at the main entrance to the building. Contactless handover is possible every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning (9-12 a.m.), we recommend arranging the day and time in advance by e-mail or telephone (221 951 357 or 775 892 653).
You can return borrowed books to the bibliobox near the entrance to the library or you can send them by post. We also recommend that you regularly check the status of your loans in the OPAC online catalogue. Fines for late returned documents can also be paid non-cash by bank transfer (please check the amount of the fine with the library by e-mail before you send the money)
