Study abroad

The Department cooperates with foreign universities and research institutions and participates in international research projects. In addition to research, international cooperation is also important for education, as it allows students to study in top foreign research centers. The best bachelor, master and Ph.D. students have an opportunity to study abroad for one or two semesters.

_

Student exchanges and internships mainly take place through the ERASMUS program, in which the Department cooperates with more than 20 foreign universities and sends 25 to 30 students to study abroad annually. In exchange, 20 to 25 foreign students come to study in the Department. They can choose from eight classes taught in English:

Contemporary Human Geography of Czechia, Immigration Issues in the United States and (Central) Europe, Post-communist Geographies, The EU Context of Regional Development and Regional Policies in Czechia, Urban Social Geography, Long-term Land Use Changes in Czechia, Selected Chapters from Physical and Human Geography of Czechia, Geography of Economic Globalization.

_

Geography students can also study abroad through the CEEPUS program - the Central European university exchange program focused on regional cooperation within networks of universities.
