Bc Study Program

Bachelor Studies cover a wide range of geographic disciplines. Students gain technical and theoretical knowledge of geographic techniques and apply analytical skills in individual projects. Initial years of study entail mostly mandatory courses, laboratory excercises and seminars, while later, the student enrolls mostly in elective courses.

Selection of elective courses form the basis of the student’s areas of interest and possible future professional specialization and is consulted with the Bachelor Thesis supervisor.

In the course of the fith term, students select the topic of their Thesis at the Department of choice, depending on the field of study. During the sixth term, students increasingly focus on specialized subjects of study, complete and defend their Theses. This term forms a transition to the Masters of Science Degree, if elected. The Degree is completed by a comprehensive Bachelor Examination.

Geography, Cartography, Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Global Positioning, Field Methods.
