International Conference “Land use and land cover changes in a globalised World”

IGU-LUCC and the Faculty of Science organize the geographic conference concerning with topics of land use transformations in a global world, current landscape changes, agricultural landscape in Central Europe during transition and many others...

About the conference:
The conference will be focused on land use and landscape in Europe. However, any papers not concerning Europe are appreciated too. A presentation has to fit one of the topics above. Please, send us preliminary application and the title of your presentation until February 14, 2010, and final application and an abstract of your article until the end of April 2010. Rules for abstract submission will be specified in the second circular (February 2010). It is, however, possible to participate in the conference without presenting an article.
An Abstract Book will be given to the participants at the registration. When the conference is over, all papers will be published on a CD-ROM.

Ca 3.500 CZK (includes ca 1.500 CZK conference fee – abstract book, refreshment, organization and other expenditures; and ca 2.000 CZK for excursion – one day accommodation, transport by bus, other expenditures).
Accommodation in Prague (ca 500 – 1.000 CZK per night) and meals (ca 300 CZK per day) are excluded.
Details on accommodation in Prague will follow in the second circular, together with specified prices and payment details.
Note: 1 EUR = ca 27 CZK.

February 14, 2010: deadline for preliminary application, title of paper (oral presentation)
End of February 2010: second circular
End of April 2010: deadline for final application, abstract submission, payment
End of May 2010: third circular
