The Curie Institute is a world-class multidisciplinary cancer research centre combining research in biology, genetics, solid matter physics, organic and medicinal chemistry with state-of-the-art technological platforms as well as access to large clinical data bases and sample collections.
The Curie Institute is supporAng the opening of positions in two of its units on its research campus in central Paris respectively Dynamics of Genetic Information and Genetics and Biology of Cancer which have expertise on genome-wide research approaches including next generation sequencing and bioinformatics.
We invite applications from outstanding candidates who are interested in areas of research related to our investigations. A strong expertise in the fields of bioinformatics to study global mechanism of genome integrity, maintenance and architecture is of a particular interest in one unit. Applications from candidates wishing to address questions on fundamental mechanisms of cancer development (“hallmarks of cancer”) using relevant model systems and/or investigating molecular bases of human malignancies are welcomed in another unit. Candidates should be prepared and willing to interface with biologists and medics in these units and beyond, and have a keen ambition to drive developments in the field of biomedical research on cancer, the main mission of the Curie Institute.
Young researchers who fulfill these criteria are particularly encouraged to apply. Applications related to other research programs of our institute are also welcomed.
The newly recruited group will benefit from state-of-the-art research equipment. Appropriate laboratory space (5-8 people depending on seniority) and a start-up package can be negotiated. The successful candidate should meet the criteria to compete for national and international funding, and for French institutional research positions (CNRS or INSERM).
