  We are organising another conference focuded on the chemistry education, Current Trends in Chemical Curricula (CTCC) which will be held also in Prague from 24 to 26 September 2008.

  Organizing Committee would like to thank all the participants of the conference, the authors, the reviewers of the papers, and the sponsors all of which have contributed to a high quality scientific meeting.

  We also hope you all had a good time in Prague and enjoyed the meeting.

The 2nd European Variety in Chemistry Education was held 27-30 June 2007 in Prague, Czech Republic. The Conference taked place at the Masarykova kolej, Thákurova 1, 160 41, Praha 6.

The Charles University in Prague - Faculty of Science, Department of Chemical Education is hosting the 2nd international biennial conference - European Variety in Chemistry Education.

For more than ten years, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Physical Sciences Center of the Higher Education Academy in the UK have organized an annual conference – Variety in Chemistry Education aimed for chemistry education at university level. To widen the exchange of experience compassing staff from the universities of the continental Europe and around world, related international conference - European Variety in Chemistry Education was established two years ago in Poland.

The conference provides a forum for the exchange of ideas related to teaching and learning chemistry at degree level, the sharing of good practice and innovation, and the dissemination of outcomes of pedagogic research mapping to chemistry at university level (see topics).

All accepted contributions will be published in the conference proceedings, after being refereed by the scientific committee members.

The conference also includes social and sight-seeing opportunities in the historic city of Prague.
