Possibility of admission interview without applicants attendance at faculty

Pursuant to the approved Terms and conditions of admission procedures for doctoral studies our faculty offers the option of performing the admission interview in a form other than the applicants attendance at the Faculty of Science. In exceptional and well substantiated cases, the admission interview can be passed, for example, in the form of a video conference (through Skype, Google, Zoom, Adobe, etc.).

Entrance examination can only be passed in such a manner on the grounds such as a long-term stay
abroad for the purposes of research, previous studies, or on the grounds of permanent residence in a country considerably far off the Czech Republic.

For permission to perform the admission interview without personal attendance at the faculty, it is necessary to apply. The request must be submitted electronically via IS CU. The deadline for submitting the request is stated in the admission requirements. The application will be judged by the dean and the applicant will be notified about the decision within one month of the deadline for the submission. The dean may permit that the entrance exam will take place via information and communication technology, but only for serious and documented reasons such as health or study abroad.
