"Sound of Science" at National house Vinohrady

The French Embassy in the Czech Republic together with the French Institute in Prague cordially invite you to the conference "Sounds of Science", which will take place on Thursday 23 June 2022 at 5 pm at the National House in Vinohrady. Don't miss the opportunity to meet top French scientists, Nobel and Kavli Prize winners and pianist and composer Karol Beffa in a creative dialogue between art and science. The event is held in English.

The Sounds of Science conference will be attended by leading French scientists: 


Jean-Marie Lehn (Nobel Prize in Chemistry 1987).
Jean Tirole (Nobel Prize in Economics 2014)
Thomas Ebbesen (Kavli Prize for Nanoscience 2014)

They will present to the general public , from high school students to scientists, the latest scientific concepts in their fields. 

The scientific part of the programme will be complemented by a musical performance by the renowned French pianist, composer and musicologist Karol Beffa, as well as a screening of René Clair's 1920 silent film " Paris qui dort" ("Crazy Ray") with an improvised piano accompaniment.
