Lecturer:
Dr. Irena Kalhousová is a Head of Herzl Center of Israeli Studies at Charles University and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. Irena holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), MPhil in European Studies from the University of Cambridge, and BA in Political Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In 2013, she was a Masaryk Distinguished Chair Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya in Israel, and in 2018, she was a Visiting Student (Nortia Fellowship) at the European University Institute in Florence. During her PhD studies, Irena became interested in pedagogy and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from LSE. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she started to specialize in online teaching.
