Origin

There are available licenses for the Origin Pro program on the chemical department. The number of licenses is strictly limited, thereby you should fulfill some rules to obtain it.

Access in computer study rooms

You can access the Origin programme on terminals in (computer study rooms Albertov 6 – PUA, Viničná 7 – B5, libraries of chemistry, geology, biology and environmental sciences). You can access it also via internet browser (on computers within faculty) on address https://vdi-cs.prfuk.natur.cuni.cz

Obtaining of the license:

Note: This license you can use on the faculty computers only (not on personal ones).

• You are a core (long-term) employee of the university:
  Just write an e-mail to the address bellow and we will send you installation files and the activation code.

• You are student of the faculty (including a doctoral one):
  You need recommendation from your department (via e-mail), number of your lab, name of the computer with MAC address. Then we will install program for you, or send installation files and the activation code to your e-mail.
  After finishing of study or your work, you should deactivate product (and release license for others – see bellow).

Recommendation for students' supervisors:
If you need a license of the Origin program for your student, send respective request directly to us, please (and a copy to your student). Requests from students without a supervisor approval cannot be processed. In your e-mail message you should mention a name of respective student and your agreement with conditions. Due to lack of licenses is necessary to deactivate respective license after the student leaves the faculty. We also cannot distribute more licenses to one group than is number of their members (including students).

Notice:

It is necessary to prevent loss of licenses. If you are going re-install (or change or dispose of) your computer (or operating system), you should deactivate the Origin Pro program first (Help –> Deactivate license). You should deactivate the Origin Pro license after finishing your study or work at our faculty as well.
