Joint research facility of the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague.
We concentrate to the development of new polarographic and voltammetric methods for monitoring of biologically active compounds important from environmental, medicinal, pharmaceutical and toxicological point of view. We also deal with combination of efficient separation techniques (such as high performance liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, solid phase extraction) with electrochemical detection. Recently, we concern in the construction of new types of electrochemical sensors and materials for their preparation, which are applicable for environmental analysis, e.g. amalgam, diamond or modified carbon paste electrodes and platinum tubular or microcylindrical electrodes.

We cooperate with many institutions:

In cooperation with MERCK, Prague, demonstration laboratory of liquid chromatography was founded.
We also recommend to visit homepage of DataApex Ltd., producers of the software we use.
