„Increasing of the R&D capacity at Charles University throught new positions for graduates of doctoral studies“

Charles University is one of the most eminent educational and scientific establishments in the Czech Republic. Its Faculty of Science is a research-oriented institution with the main mission to create highly qualified experts in biology, chemistry, geology, geography and environmental sciences. Some of the long-term priority areas are human health, the study of ecosystems, and the development of environmentally friendly materials based on the utilization of renewable resources. Over 400 scientists conduct research and education in the fields of biology, chemistry, geology, geography and environmental studies. We offer a multidisciplinary, stimulating and interactive environment in young research groups. The Faculty is located in the heart of Prague, a cultural crossroad of unique ambiance.

Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. (the degree had to be obtained no earlier than on 28 March 2008), a promising publication record and also be able to speak fluently English (CAE, FCE or other certificate) or Czech.

Required documents are signed CV and notarized proof of study. These documents must be sent to:  Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science, Department of HR, Albertov 6, 128 43 Prague 2, Czech Republic. The envelope must be marked with „Postdoc II“.

CV  should contain the list of articles in journals with impact factor and other publications which are registered at WoS ISI and  the number of citations of published texts according to WoS ISI.

The contracts will be funded from the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic - registration number of the project: CZ.1.07/2.3.00/30.0061. Funds for long-term research stay (up to 6 months)/international mobility will be provided. The salaries will start at 40,000 CZK per month.

There will be a trial period of three months.
