This specialization offers its students both theoretical and practical instruction in the fields of molecular biology and genetics with particular regard to prokaryotic organisms. Its curriculum is compiled with the aim to expand the knowledge on various areas of microbiology. The graduates of this specialization can successfully apply for work e.g. in medical and veterinary diagnostic laboratories, microbiological reference laboratories and scientific institutes dealing with both basic and applied research.
