Program of the seminars is now official.

We are looking forward to see you!

Seminars of the Department of Ecology take place on Tuesdays between 3 and 4:30 PM, during the regular lecture periods (usually October to mid-January in winter semester, and late February to mid-May in summer semesters). In most cases, seminars take place in the lecture room B2P (Viničná 7, 2nd floor on the right, door 251), joint seminars with other departments move to larger premises.

The seminar programme usually consists of:

  • lectures of invited guests from both foreign and domestic institutions (typically 1-hour presentation followed by a discussion)
  • short student presentations introducing thesis research projects or reporting about their progress
  • occasional presentations of research activities of the department

After the seminars, informal discussions with the guests often continue in an nearby restaurant, such as the renowned microbrewery Pivovarský dům (The Brewery House).

About half of the seminars apart from invited presentations of foreign guests are given in Czech (the full programme is therefore available in Czech only).
