PhD position on starting ERC project
In our team of Ecological Genomics we open new PhD position, fully paid for 4 years by right now starting ERC grant (~1000 € monthly netto salary + stipend).
Outage of data and phone services
At Friday 12. 3. 2021 from 9:00 to 17:00 backup power supply of main faculty server room (building Albertov 6) will be replaced and subsequent work will take place.
PhD STARS program 2021 is open for applications

R is nowadays probably the most powerful tool for calculations of all kinds. There are plenty of modules available for work with molecular data. Those will be introduced during the course.
Course of work in Linux command line not only for MetaCentrum 2021 MB120C23
Don’t be afraid of command line! It is friendly and powerful tool allowing to process large data and automate tasks. Practically identical is command line also in Apple macOS, BSD and another UNIX-based systems, not only in Linux. The course is designed for total beginners as well as intermediate advanced students. The only requirement is an interest (or need) to work in command line, typically on Linux computing server.

Resolution of the Task Force of the Faculty of Science at Charles University of 16.3.2020
At its meeting on 16.3.2010, the Task Force of the Faculty of Science at Charles University adopted the following resolution:
HybSeq course 2020
Intensive 4-days course to learn all theory about HybSeq and practically learn how to analyze HybSeq data, how to solve all problems, and how to evaluate differences among gene trees. Important part is enough time to discuss everything, including practical problems and projects of individual participants.
