Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre of Experimental Plant Biology, Charles University in Prague
• Molecular and cellular mechanisms of plant cell polarity, in particular those responsible for the co-ordination of the cortical cytoskeleton and the endomembrane system.
• Interaction of cell cycle, gene regulation, signalling pathways in cell differentiation during plant development (in particular those utilizing saccharides, as well as phytohormone-mediated ones) and mechanisms of RNA interference.
• Cell and tissue-level regulation of root development, in particular processes controlling the fate of the root apical meristem (RAM), lateral root (LR) development, as well as environmentally induced changes of root system architecture and anatomical structure.
• Interactions between plants and their biotic and abiotic environment, with focus on the study of mechanisms and ecophysiological consequences of plant-microbe interactions.
The position is offered for 2 years with a possibility of extension to 3 years (including an initial probationary period of 3 months). The offered salary is according to the Charles University regulations (i.e. CZK 25,000-35,000 per month net, depending on candidate's qualification); extra bonuses in case of successful publication of results.
