Dear Colleagues and friends,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the 14th Conference on Methods and Applications of Fluorescence (MAF 14) taking place in the Congress Center Wuerzburg, Germany from September 13-16, 2015. Around 500 participants are expected to present their work and discuss their most recent scientific achievements.

The scope of the meeting is to bring together scientists working in the field of single-molecule super-resolution imaging. The biannual MAF Conference, the first in 1989, is intended to reflect the enormous progress that has been made in fluorescence which is one of the most powerful spectroscopic methods. Topics covered include:

-          Ultrafast spectroscopy, Upconversion, Photonic Crystals, Plasmonics

-          Nanophotonics, Biophotonics

-          Single-Molecule Spectroscopy and Imaging, Super-Resolution Microscopy

-          Live-Cell Imaging, Live-Cell Probes, Fluorescent Proteins

-          Optical Probes for Manipulation

On behalf of the organizing committees, I would like to ask and invite you to support us by submitting scientific contributions related to the main topics of the conference. Online registration and abstract submission platforms are open! Please visit the official congress websitewww.maf14.org for further details, such as the program and lists of plenary and invited symposium speakers!

Please keep the Abstracts Submission Deadline May 29, 2015 in mind. An abstract template is provided on the website. The organizing committee will select abstracts for oral presentation (15+5 min) for each topic and inform the speaker until mid of June 2015.

We plan to publish a special issue online in Methods and Applications in Fluorescence (www.iopscience.org/maf) with a selection of the most exciting work presented at the conference (see also special issue announcement attached).
