A leucine-rich receptor-like kinase CANAR has two functional roles in plant development. One is to coordinate cells to initiate auxin transport to guide vasculature formation. The second is to regulate the root meristem organization by controlling the stele diameter. Our results show that CANAR has two tissue-specific localization where each having a different function. The localization switch is regulated by CANAR-related long non-coding RNA.
