Research interest: Biology, fine structure, host parasite relationships and phylogeny of parasitic protozoa (especially Microspora, Apicomplexa and Myxozoa).

Libor Mikes

Research interest:Penetration mechanisms of trematode larvae. Proteins in cercarial penetration glands - lectins and histolytic enzymes. Surface changes in trematode post-penetration and in vitro cultured larvae - ultrastructure, glycobiology. Host-trematode relations based on lectin-saccharide interactions. Model parasites: Diplostomum, Sanguinicola, schistosomatid and echinostomatid trematodes.
